Comments:
This one was a struggle much of the time, especially when trying to work into
the middle east through the European callers. As usual, I chased DX and only
made a few USA contacts and never called CQ.
Conditions on 10M failed to open to Europe whenever I listened and 80M had few
readable European signals when I was there. I chose to sleep rather than stay
up for the European Sunrise peak.
Mid-day Saturday was slow so I watched the UofM vs.BYU Football Game (31-0) and
later the Tennessee-Florida Heartbreaker. TN lead for most of the game until
Florida managed to make 3 or 4 fourth-down conversions to score and go ahead by
1 point. TN managed to get to mid-field with just seconds remaining in the
game. Sadly their field-goal attempt had the distance but strayed just outside
the goal post. Tennessee played an amazing game against the favored Florida
team.
>From my perspective, those football games were much more interesting than the
WW RTTY contest this year. So it goes.
