Comments:
K3 was inop at the start of the contest (?!) No xmit or rcv, but I could hear
swish noise from DSP/filter chain, and could see signals on the P3 (?!). After
some online research, schematic and block diagram review, I finally opened the
cover and wiggled TMP connectors in the new synth board areas.
Cured!
So four hours late, I finally got on, and worked my way S&Ping across first
20, and then 40 meters.
Then, about 1130p EDT, I started falling asleep after starting my sweep across
80 m (and the band was looking pretty alive, drat!). Can't imbibe caffeine due
to AFIB condition, and my internal clock these days is to get up at 530a every
morning, so I had to pull the plug early.
Hopefully, I won't have a recurrence for the SSB weekend.
