For me, really great thing about this contest,
knowing I had neither talent or antennas to
come in in top 100 , there was no reason to work at it.
So, time to pet the cat,
gather the eggs,
and time to just tune around
to see what goes on in these all band contests.
At start I had intentions of going QRP.
Got through the 15 meter contacts.
When I got to 40, it did not take me long
to ask the question,
"Why am I making those guys spend time trying
to dig me out of the noise? There is no extra points
for either one of us.? "
Cranked it up to LP and went through
40 and 160 with the 'big boys' .
Oh, to the QRP's and the LP guys,
For Marlene and I, it is a totally
different game on 160.
We'd pass up a big signal any time
to get one of you guys in our log.
In our serious efforts on 160 meters we try
to have all the paper work finished
within 15 minutes.
Obviously we aren't geared to be that
serious about an 'all band contest'.
