Comments:
Not sure how the weather has been in the rest of the world but the past month
here in Indiana we almost set an all time record for rain fall in June and July
has been the same. For example last Tuesday we had 5" of rain during the
day and more storms were predicted for Saturday evening and everyday this
coming week so I knew I might not be able to operate FT. Conditions were a
little noisy during the day Saturday but no local activity until Sunday morning
a storm with accompanying lightning sat near my QTH for over 3 hours. The
thunder and lightning was so loud and bright I couldn't even sleep during the
time off.
No major equipment problems just a minor band decoder issue that limited one
radio from running on 80 meters.
Conditions and activity were pretty good and all and all a fun contest.
Thanks to all the HQ stations for making this an interesting multiplier chase.
When S and P'ing and hearing an "HQ" your interest peaks up for a
possible mult.
