Comments:
The First 22 hours were GREAT, then an M-class flare seriously impacted
propagation to the west on the high bands. It took 3 transmissions to complete
the exchange with JA3YBK on 10M and only a few JAs were workable on 15. I could
NOT hear KL7RA on 10M Sunday afternoon (but worked NL7V Saturday).
Totals at 0800 Saturday 375 Qs 235 Mults
2400 Saturday 895 Qs 408 Mults
0600 Sunday 1018 Qs 434 Mults
2400 Sunday 1376 Qs 453 Mults
Almost ALL contacts came from the Available Multiplier List and Band-Map on the
N1MM Logging Program with a few nearby exceptions. NO Runs.
A Power Outage from 1300 to 1500Z Sunday morning seriously impacted the EU/west
Asia opening on the high bands. A new S9 noise across 160M also probably cost
me several EU QSOs. How could I miss PJ2T on 160?
On the bright side, a new (wire over pine tree) parasitic reflector to EU for
my 80M Elevated GP seemed to play well as I was able to hear and work several
Low Power EU stations (and all? of the Mults I heard).
I was pleased to see 3 new 6 Banders and 14 new 5 Banders.
6B-17 stns, 5B-46 stns, 4B-44 stns, 3B-52 stns, 2B-94 stns, 1B-524 stns.
Icom 746 to B&W PT-2500 (pr 3-500s) at 800-1000W.
160M Inverted L (90 ft apex)
80M Elevated GP plus reflector N/NE + wire vertical in woods S/SE
40M 80M Dipole/Ladderline Sloping NE from 130 ft tower + Delta Loop (W)
20/15/10 TH7 at 40 ft plus various dipoles for SE/NW
(Most Caribbean / SA stns on the high bands were worked with the dipoles)
