Part time (13 hours, S&P only) attempt at QRP contesting. The highlight was
working VK4YB and ZM4T on 40 the first night; both appeared to have very few
callers (not spotted yet?). 40 m was my best band with perfectly resonant
antenna. Everything else was an extremely hard (and very frustrating) slog:
endless calling with many repeats of my callsign, corrections upon corrections,
most of time to no avail. I heard so much more than I worked that I find it hard
to believe I left so much "on the table". My forehead is black and
blue, and swollen from banging my head against the wall. In essence every Q I
made was only because of the operator and set-up on the other end. I might try
QRP again, but when I do it will likely be CW rather than SSB...
