Comments:

>From down in the Minneapolis urban canyon in EN34. Antenna: 6m moxon pointed
SSW; 100 W on 6m, 5 W on 2m. Only on Sunday afternoon and evening, mostly
monitoring 50.125 while doing other things. I didn't hear much of anything,
and worked almost everyone I heard. In doing so, I managed the highest score
I've yet achieved in an ARRL VHF contest (n=3).

The big surprise of the conetst was that with the new antenna analyzer, I found
the 6m antenna works okay for 2m (SWR <3:1). The living situation doesn't
allow for permanent antennas, and I can't get temporary ones anywhere near the
roofline. With the 6m antenna workng on 2m, I was able to make QSOs at 5 W.
One even broke the 1W/km barrier (8.8 km on 5 W)!

There seemed to be some 2m tropo in the area, as the APRS rig was showing
packets from as far as Grand Marais, MN, and central/eastern WI.

Thanks to everyone who made the bands as active as they were!
