George and I had a great time. This contest never has a boring moment. The few
times that each of us were out of the chair had a direct cost on the final score
but for me, I just have to attend to personal business a few times during a
12-hour shift. George is a QSO machine. Whenever a band got hot, I turned it
over to George for a dose of his magic and he came through every time.
Conditions were pretty good everywhere except top band where I never even heard
a peep out of W2FU. I did hear and call N3DXX but no joy. I kinda missed the
whole Northeast on 160.
Anyway, we had a great time and were glad that we decided to do it, even if it
was only about 12 hours before the starting bell that I started configuring the
setup.
Thanks for all the QSOs and all the fun,
73,
Chuck and George
