Comments:
I couldn't understand why the Europe run was so lackluster on both days.
Well, I found out after 30 lbs of heavy snow melted and fell off the yagi.
I couldn't rotate the yagi any further east than North because it was hanging
down and snagging the 160m dipole below it. I tried several methods of knocking
the snow off Saturday morning, but to no avail. I figured that 45 degrees off
of azimuth wouldn't be that bad for a 3 element. I figured wrong. I lost 2
S-units into Europe and lost 500-600 QSO's in the process. Ah Murphy!
Otherwise, while beaming every other direction, conditions were spectacular! I
had my own mini ZL-run in the afternoon, too. I would have had JA's, but didn't
look too much up that way and a JA noted this on the cluster. Agh! But I did get
all 50 states and most of the European mults, so things weren't all that bad.
Next year... maybe!
