Comments:
Bummer for this year. Many family activity conflicts plus a broken rotor equals
not much time in the chair. Had the antennas tied down to a SE fixed diretion
favoring central NA. Wind came up overnight and by morining the rope gave way
and the antennas started wondering about in the wind. Got the tower lowered and
a new line over the TH-11 boom; this time I pulled up a piece of wire cable and
got a half hitch in it with the ropes tied off at each end. Seems to be holding
well at the moment, but by the time all that was done any enthusiasm for
returning to the contest was long gone. Hope to have better luck next year if
the solar cycle hangs around.
