Kenwood TS-950SD, Heil ProSet with HC-5 element, and home brewed G5RV flattop up
50 feet, running N-S at 6,053 feet elevation in Laramie County, WY. My first
time in the unlimited category. I only picked up three sections from the
"summit",due to busy runs, but one of them was V.I., (Q#854), which
was my last section for my second ever "Clean Sweep"! After 6,000
plus Q's as W1AW/7 from Wyoming,not long ago,I found myself calling as
"W1AW/7" instead of my own call! QRM is getting worse every year, and
moving 1/2 Kc away from an established run frequency and then calling CQ is
apparently now considered "fair play". Still... a "boy and his
wire" + barefoot Kenwood 950 + the WY mult = BIG FUN! Thanks to everyone
who took the time to work me and my modest Apartment station.
