Comments:
Out of synch on this one. Stayed on too long in the beginning and so missed a
lot of 10 meters and then when I got back on 10 was gone stateside. Had a
couple of minor Murphy's but just stuck it out nothing else to do. Computer
ran out of memory, wrong antenna selection setup, etc.
For possibly the first time I experienced what the west coast does on the high
bands. On 20 meters I had sort of a spotlight opening to the SE and must have
worked 50 KB4's who were newbies. During this period I had the highest rate I
have ever had in an NAQP. 40 and 160 were big disappointments. I kept
thinking 160 would come around but conditions were just not good there.
I was very surprised to miss so many stations that were very active. That's
what makes this a unique event.
Thanks to all for the casual's and diehards.
The challenge between NCCC, PVRC and SMC is a good thing and get a lot of
activity started.
