Comments: If one does enough contests one will be bad. This was the one. No
traction at all, and hardly a single moment of joy . . . everything was a
struggle except XE2S and T32RC, which were worked easily.
>From here conditions were far less than ideal.. . Arising early Sunday morning
(0330) I found JA's with strong signals. . up to S-7 but none calling CQ and
none would answer mine. Later, nearer sunrise, JA's were way down. . maybe 5 S
units below good conditions. . got only a Z. O? out of one. JA2YBK was way down
in strength and during the time he called CQ no one answered.
May also have an undiagnosed antenna problem. . . SWR was 1.0:1 and that's not
correct. . it's always been closer to 1.3:1 previously.
Limited time because of complex final exam due Sunday in a major UC Davis wine
course.
