Comments:

* FT-2000 + SB221 (SO1R, unassisted)
* N1MM Logger
* 3 ele. Steppir @ 47'
* 40M Steppir dipole @ 47'
* 40M 2-element reversible quad, fixed Europe/ZL
* 3 x 80M verticals, triangle array

C and M flares almost all the way, but the bands held up surprisingly well.
This far west, they were solid but not super -- folks further east were having
a much better time with Europe. Big thrill working C91 on 10M and ST2 on 15M
Sunday morning, both calling in during modest runs over the pole.

Funniest moment: waiting in the pileup to work newly rebuilt V26B just before
0300z Saturday night on 20M, when the op announced he had to QRX to catch a
4-inch tarantula that had wandered in. Contesting in the tropics.

Managed to better all previous bests, including last year, but didn't hit the
targets I set (3M points and 3,000 Qs). Did hit the goals for 15M, but not on
any other band. Biggest disappointment was 20M, which I tended to ignore after
giving it a few tries on Saturday. MUF was too high and that band doesn't have
much room to pack in a world of activity. Matched last year's zone and country
totals on 20M; however, the QSO count was less than half.

Couldn't get much going on 75M or 40M with CW-band antennas, but made the best
of it. The 40M quad worked for a few EU contacts on Saturday night once the
eastern wall had diminished. Not a great outing on that band, though, as
domestic NA activity was tough to attract.

Boosted last year's 75M production from 65Qs, 5 zones and 4 countries to 108
Qs, 11 zones and 13 countries, despite the array's notable fall-off above 3.700
Mhz. Never could get the attention of JAs on Sunday morning. Hope the array
works better over the Pacific during the CW contest.

Had fun. Got my SSB fix out the way, and now looking forward to the ultimate
fave of the year for me: CQWW CW.
