A great mini-event sharing a similar time slot overlap with the Oceania DX
Event. This year many Cal stations were running dual sets of numbers splitting
their CQP and OCDX entries.. confusing, you bet, and given I logged whay I could
of the numbers I heard, a few of us on either sides of the Pacific may get a
ding.. not that it matters too much, as the QSO was had.
Also dissapointed many in the non-Califormia areas of the US/VE refused to work
me,, ugh. Again, hard to take things even half seriously with that level of
predujice..
Had a few days in Portland Maine immediately after the event, only to find
everyone was in New Hampshire at a hamfest somewhere there... anyway my Society
of History of Technology (SHoT) conference was superb at the Inn by the Bay,
with all the university book publishers on deck with crazy discounts... and the
Mexican food was top quality too.. and odd to see the colorful autumn leaves
flying in, and cool weather when stepping outdoors..
Back in New Brunswick, NJ in a couple of weeks time..
