Big thanks to Stan and Kevin for letting me operate from their wonderful
station. Kevin spent several hours getting the station set up for single op,
and all I had to do was show up and operate. It was a real pleasure to be in
the drivers seat of such a great station.
An infrequent phone operator myself, this was the first time I have done SO2R
on SSB. I started on 20 and kept my CQ frequency there for most of the first
half of the contest. 15 meters was disappointing and I never heard anything on
10. 20 and 40 were both very productive. Probably could have managed my off
times a little better, there was noticeably less activity the last 30 minutes
of the contest although I did work some mults on 160. Also should have started
moving mults earlier in the contest. Overall had a great time. Thanks to all
who called and especially those who moved to 80 or 160 late in the game.
73, Erik N5WR
