Comments:
Once again the spanish HQ was active in the IARU contest, representing URE. Our
goal was to try to improve on the results obtained in 2012, however poorer
conditions on all bands made that very difficult. In spite of the propagation,
a large group of experienced contesters made a huge effort from their well
appointed stations on the day to try to make the many months of very hard work
effort and planning worth it.

We hope that next year conditions will be better! Thanks to each and every
station who called the special call EFxHQ on the different bands and modes.
On the eve of the contest, a new telecoms bill was passed in Spain, part of
that contains new rules on licencing which mean that next year we should have a
single callsign which will allow us to participate on an even footing with many
of the other HQs and take better advantage of propagation in different
locations throughout the country.
