That was fun! ...and it wasn't easy!!! Operating QRP requires the operator
deal with rejection, whether it be because the station called either couldn't
hear you or didn't want to bother taking the time to bother. Now, that in
itself
says a lot about the many stations that worked and worked until they finally
got
the call and the exchange right vs the stations that couldn't be bothered!
I've got to say that QRP is very rewarding and exciting. Just when you think
you don't have a chance of working a "rare" one, you find out you're the first
"stateside" station he's worked that day...AND YPOU'RE QRP!!! That's exciting.
Then there's the quirk of fate of cracking a pileup...and you KNOW it's not
intentional :~)
So QRP can be humbling, but it can also be elating. RTTY works!!! ...even QRP!
