Comments:
Everything was good except the conditions. Best DX condx was the second evening
for an opening to EU. NA signals were very good for most of the contest but
west was more difficult on the second night.
This year we had two first time operators at K9CT, John,K9DX and Carl, K9CS.
Thanks to all of the team members for their contributions of teamwork, food and
good conversation. Our goal was to surpass last year's effort which we did by
200K!!
Refinements included call stacking by second op for the run op, second rx
antenna setup for the second radio, ACOM 2S1 automatic commutator to share the
amplifier, vertical array and dipole between both stations. Each radio was TX
inhibited by the 2S1 and the K3 Inhibit circuit.
We had 209 10 pointers and 88 5 pointers...rest were 2 pointers. Thanks to the
tremendous patience of the DX stations for staying with us to get the call and
exchange through.
Set up..
2 - K3 dual rx
2 - microKeyer II
Alpha 87 A
ACOM 2S1
5 element vertical array...Reflector, Driven and Director in 4 directions
180' dipole
N1MM software
Thanks again to K9CS, K9DX and K9ZO!!
73, Craig K9CT
