QRN was brutal but I guess it was everywhere. Storms all around but no rain, and
we could use some, even way up here. No West Coast even heard on 80 and only a
few worked on 40.
TS590S/135-foot doublet. Found a magic feed line length and the auto tuner in
the Kenwood matches the doublet on all bannds except 160; I can change bands by
just pressing a band button. I think I probably made around 150 band changes.
It's interesting how a lot more people have QSK in a low power contest. I had
several occasions where both of us had QSK and it speeded things up a lot
through the QRN. I can't imagine working CW without it.
