Comments:
What a pain operating SSB with a "mighty 5 watts to a cloud warmer" and
expecting to compete with KW+ stations with stacked beams. :)
Someone said this was "cruel and/or unusual punishment" and I totally agree.
However, it was fun at times "beating out" the big guns in a pileup, though
most times I had to wait until the cacophony dwindled down.
Most DX was South American and Carribean - didn't hear Europe at all. Heard
KH6 several times, but couldn't be heard, even when they ran out of a pileup
and were calling CQ repeatedly.
