Comments:
Started out quick then stalled during 2nd hour. Could not get much response to
20 meters CQ's. Went to 75 meters very early. Lots of congestion above 3800
with all the rag chewers. Glad to see folks spread out lower in the band
eventually. Too bad this cuts off the General class licenses.
Heard the VE4 nice and loud on 40 meters... but about 15 seconds after it was
over. "A minute late and a multiplier short."
Coldest weather of the winter so far. Had to plug in the rotor heater (the
same device you tape onto water pipes to keep them from freezing) to get the 20
meter rotor to turn. Took about a half hour before it would start turning.
Ditto the comments of K7SS regarding SSB Sprint competing with other contests
on same weekend.
