Comments:
The 6 Meter E-Skip was a pleasant surprise both days. I missed the beginning
Saturday, due to having to repair a remote relay wire going up the tower for
432 MHz. Conditions on the higher bands were not particularly good, and I
actually had fewer contacts there than last year. 28.7% of my contacts were in
FN 42 (141 of 491 Total). Note that if CW were not used, my score would have
been reduced by 27,145 points, or 27.4% (46 fewer QSO's and 15 fewer grids).
CW Especially helped with the weaker signals on 432 MHz and higher frequencies.
I have participated in the January VHF SS every year since 1967.
