Comments:
Tough conditions on Friday night - better Saturday night for sure.
Missed a few things normally available in this contest - heard SD but it got
away. On Saturday I asked VE4YU who was calling N4PN to go up 1 - he did and
then CQ'd and I thought "now is my chance" - I called and called but no joy.
I swear I heard VP6T for a second in the window a bit later on but when I
listened again and tuned for several minutes he was gone.
Never heard a JA or KL7 or a VE5 - condx were really awful toward the Pacific
NW this weekend from here - only worked a handful of WASH and ORE stations.
The most interesting moments were in the final 45 minutes when I was doing some
CQ'ing near the end of the contest when in order TA3D, then A65BP and finally
YC0LOW/1 all started CQ'ing right on my frequency - and then, despite my
frantic attempts to work them - all got away! Oh well......
I had about 4 clean shots at YC0LOW/1 - then a serious EU pileup took over the
freq and it was BYE BYE VY2ZM!
Many thanks to all who called - and also to my brother K3ZM for his fine score
from the Virginia shore.
73 to all

(which I think roughly translates into "DR GOOD RADIO" from the German.)
