Comments:
The first night was good but the second night was a struggle because of having
so few new stations to work. The good but brief sunrise peak to eastern Asia
the first morning didn't offset the lack of any significant opening to Europe
this year. As a result my score is down significantly from the past three
years' efforts. On the bright side I worked two new DXCC counters with HK0NA
and VR2EH; the latter called me with a superb signal at my sunrise on Saturday
morning. That opening seemed to favor southern Japan and points farther south.
Worked CR6K for my only European contact, on the second night at his sunrise.
No African countries were heard here, so no WAC this year; missed only Alaska
for WAS.
Thanks for contacts and your patience.
