Fun! Same setup as cw... my work qth: portable tower trailer, 10-40 rotary
dipole @45' added a 75m dipole (in -5 to -10c wx w/ wind!) with one end at 60'
other at 10'. Fun to op portable with two antennas and one radio! Very simple.
The k3 wouldn't tune the dipole on 160, BUMMER! I was hoping to catch some
easy mults... lesson learned. 10-20m were amazing the first 4 hours. Rate was
awesome (for a dipole!) and I decided to take a break for dinner at 2200z. It
turned into an hour break. Milked 15 and 20 at 2300z and got excited to go to
40 because I really felt loud there in cw. Apparently I arrived late, the band
was very crowded and I had a tough time finding a spot to run. Never got much
going on 40, to my disappointment. Overall, lots of fun! Thanks to K9BF for
letting me use the TCARCC (Champaign Urbana, IL) contest call. 73, Matt
