Why do I torture myself so?
Low power, SSB and low wire groundplanes don't mix.
After 7.5 hours, I had enough. I cashed in my chips.
Averaging just 41 or so Q's per hour, it felt more like a VHF contest than
an HF contest. I could not get anything going on any band. Participation was
down....likely due to a number of dxpeditions and the ARRL JAN VHF contest.
(did I mention SSB & Low power too? heh)
Well, I hope I gave a new one to a few. I heard a couple other VE9's on too.
