Comments:
FT1000MP, 100W, TH6DXX, dipole, inverted vee. 20M seemed dead except for South
America and Antarctica just before the contest, but could copy very weakly N4AF
and N7XU when they moved to 20 from 40. So decided to start on 20 after all and
worked W7WHY there, but no one else heard. 40M was pretty good for areas west
of the Mississippi, but station east of there were generally pretty weak or
inaudible. 80M was the best to the west coast that I have heard this year.
K6NV was particularly strong, but he couldn't hear me calling. Nice to work
both OR boys there fairly easily. 80M was so good everywhere that I didn't
change the 80M antenna to try 160 at the end. Probably missed some mults
there, but did get a few more 80M mults by staying on that band. Thanks for
all QSOs. Activity was pretty good. 73, John, K4BAI.
