Comments:
I only had a few hours to spend in this contest, but I always enjoy the
chance to work my favoiite mode. I had one guy ask me what state I was in,
I told him I was in a different contest (SCC RTTY) he typed out that it
didn't matter, all he needed was my state. After a good belly laugh,
I typed out CA and he was happy with that reply. I worked everyone I
could hear on 15 & 20m and then wandered down to 40/80m and only found NA
stations. Lots of Canadians and East coasters so I went back to 20m, but
after skimming the bands, I didn't see anything new. Thanks to everyone who
helped me score some points for the club. I had originally planned to run
my old Heathkit SB-220 but it gets scary on 40 with a high SWR and there is
a burning smell on 80m so it was quieter w/out the amp.
