Figured I'd play around in this one with high power and see what happened.
Worked out well -- not a lot of time on the air (11.5 hours total) but had some
enjoyable runs on 15M on Saturday, and a good opening on 20M to Europe on Sunday
morning at the end.
40M and 80M were disappointing. Where was everyone on 80M?
40M performance...
Qs Pts Cty Sec Pwr
-------------------------
2011: 47 480 9 15 High (SteppIR dipole & 2-el quad)
2010: 81 885 16 19 Low (SteppIR dipole w/ wire passive element)
2009: 33 335 5 11 Low (SteppIR dipole @40')
2008: 129 1445 10 23 High (twin reversible half-squares, E or W)
2007: 89 930 10 16 High (half-squares E-W, N-S)
2006: 37 355 4 12 Low (2-el wire yagi East @70')
Beat my previous best by almost 1/3 so that's a good improvement, but it's
mostly due to flux hovering around 100 helping 15M stay open over the pole.
Thanks to everyone for the contacts.
