Comments:
Roy, w3tef, rejoined the team after a few years absence; also present was a
relatively new contester, Herb, w3tm. The 6m openings were, of course, much
appreciated - ditto for being called by multiple dx stations (including a VO1
off the back of a south or south-west pointing beam)- though we just couldn't
manage sustained runs (as were enjoyed by many 5's and 0's): 4 or 5 calls, then
dead space for a few minutes, then 3 or 4 calls, then dead space again. Severe,
sporadic, storm-like noise to the west compounded the problems of the usual line
noise to the east and south-east, yet no weather storms all weekend.
We're once again pleased with the grid square totals on 222 and 432.
