Congrats to K5AM ! Just a super job by Mark. His contest QTH is 100 miles due
north of here in SW New Mexico. From a propagation viewpoint, it might just as
well be on another planet.
>From here, open to the Pacific NW only for a few hours at the start. Solid
opening along a broad swath from Minnesota to Mississippi/Alabama during almost
all daylight hours. About an hour opening Sunday morning to NJ and New England.
Zero openings to W6. Zero openings to MD, VA, NC, most of Florida. Only a few
minutes of opening to the QSO-rich Dallas/Houston area. Before the band opened
"for real" on Sunday morning, the only signal was VP5CW. Is this 10 meters ?
Thanks for the QSO's. Maybe next year I'll put up some real antennas. Naw.
