Comments:
Very nice result with 100 watts and horizontal loops (rover antennas up 20
feet). 25 of the 62 6-meter Qs were CW...lots of activity there and mostly
stations I would *not* have worked on SSB with signals not moving the s-meter
on the IC-746. It was refreshing not to have someone parked on 50.125 running
stations during this VHF QSO Party...that is a rarity and very welcomed! After
finishing I was motivated to go outside and do some work on my 6-meter
home-brew yagi...7+ elements on at least a 36 foot boom. Funny how not being
able to work 8 or 10 grids will provide incentive. :>)
