Many more mults, far fewer Qs than last year. Running wasn't successful in most
cases, so the extra time spent searching helped the multiplier count.
Very disappointed by the lack of Europe on Sunday morning. With flux in the
130s I expected much more, and was relying on a good long run but there were
only a handful of EU Qs to be had as the band opened over the pole. Saturday
was much better, providing almost all the EU contacts on 20M and 15M, though
even Saturday's openings were difficult. Had a pretty good but brief (40 Q) run
with Europe on 15M Sunday around 1640z before whatever magic path was gone.
Hated leaving the high bands after dark. Between leaving 20M Saturday evening
and returning Sunday morning, I was able to add just 12 Qs on 40M and 8 Qs on
80M. Sure was nice to get back to even a lousy polar path on 20M.
One major goal was to beat my personal-best score from last year. Didn't hit my
900-Q goal or 200-mult goal, but got mults close enough and score advanced
enough to be happy.
Was nice to replenish some of those recently deleted entitites -- special
thanks to all the PJ ops. Best DX surprise: FR1 calling in on Saturday morning
as the 20M European pile was building.
Thanks for the DX Qs. Next up: BARTG HF RTTY in two weeks. Hope the sun stays
awake.
