Great fun to work who I could mobile, it took a while to break through the big
signals to work folks.. I was using a military style copper screw together
hollow whip, but ONLY 6 ft total length, with an insulated base, fed at the
bottom at about 5 ft above the ground, so total height 11 ft, didn't want to
get tangled up on the interstate overpasses going 75-80 mph!! Used 9913 coax to
a tuner in the suburban..
Great to work N4AF, W7WHY, K9MMS, K1GU ,N6RO, NO3M, N6ZFO, KE0G, N5DX --YOU
GUYS ALL HAVE GREAT EARS and SIGNALS!!
Travelling to Lawrence, KS for Midwest All Stars Swim meet for my daughter who
is 10 yrs, will be a good weekend.
Thanks for the fun evening mobile, 73 God Bless, Todd WD0T
