Comments:
Strange being back after a long absence Thursday nights. The winter condx were a
little new to me. It was a pleasant surprise to find 20 open, but only to the
north and northeast, with a pee-weak N2GC sneaking in from NY. I'm sure it was
the same there.
40 went long and everyone left the band after twenty or so minutes. It was a
surprise that virtually no one stayed there, but they were all on 80 and 160.
80 was the best band for QSOs, a little better than 40. The mult gods were not
smiling on me tonight. I was pleased to work 4 stations on 160 but called NO3M,
W4NZ, and several others many times with no luck.
It's getting to feel that 35 WPM is slow in the NS!
Tnx to W5ZL for getting on and making QSOs with me on all 4 bands for the TX
sweep. The other three banders were NO3M and WF7T.
Tnx to all for such fun. I'll be able to make the Ladder until my class starts
up again in late January.
