Comments:

Great band conditions Friday night when I made first 813 Qs. Had to really dig
for additioinal Qs Saturday night when noise floor increased. That will teach
me...I slacked off this year and did not install my usual beverage receiving
antenna.

Highlight this weekend was working a lot of old friends including Ron, WA7NAH
(who seldom operates 160 much less CW)and my friend and neigbor Al, CE1/K7CA
who is spending time this winter down in Chile.

Had a bit of RF in my laptop mouse circuit which created some exciting moments
during runs. Second night I installed a better ground and added torroids to a
few control cables.

Operated contest from the Goodrich - Hurricane Mesa Test Facility located on
top of a remote mesa at 5,300 ft. and just 8 miles west of Zion Natoinal Park.

Station: K-3, Alpha 76A, 160 meter inverted-v supported by 35 ft. flag pole
located on an observation deck over looking Virgin River Valley 1,200 ft.
below.

Winter weather permitting, we plan to operate the CQWW 160 Contests from this
operating location.

73's de Jack, WA7LNW
