Comments:
Off to a late start again this year. 2200Z arrived and the inverted L was still
on the ground, the feedline in the shack, and I wasn't home yet...
My personal goal was 1000 contacts and 200,000 points and that seemed to be
easily within reach after Friday night/Saturday morning. Early Sunday, needing
only 60 more contacts to hit my goal, I decided to get some sleep. I awoke 2
hours later to S9+ (snow precipitation) QRN. It took me another 5+ hours to
grind out the final 95 QSO's.
This year's total score is up only 849 points from last year. In retrospect, I
spent too much time running and not enough time chasing the DX. I missed VE8
for the ARRL section sweep, as well as a lot of the "easy" European DX
multipliers.
Thanks to all for the contacts and points. Apologies to those I was unable to
pull out of the QRN.
Hope to CU all later this month in The Stew Perry TBDC.
