Comments:
I was looking forward to this contest and was prepared to try and give it my all
but things happen and I missed the first four hours of the contest. I was kinda
bummed out so I figured I would just dabble in the contest and not get serious.
When I finally did get on the air, the band seemed in good shape and that made
it rough to leave the chair. There should be some really exceptional scores in
this one. A lot of great signals out of Europe answering my CQs made it pretty
exciting. Must have been some strange propagation between the West coast and
Ohio, noticed some warble at times on West coast signals, and they were weak.
Had so much fun and success running a frequency that I did very little S&P this
time. By 4am each night I had to throw in the towel and hit the sack, just too
tired but I'm sure I missed good sunrise openings. Always great to work old
friends in this contest.
