Comments:
My goals for this contest were to break 100 mults, break 200K points, and break
1000Qs. I managed the first two, but didn't crack the 1000Q mark. Saturday
afternoon I found that my inverted L had about 20' on the ground, as a support
rope had failed. A little work in the woods and it was back up, at least off
the ground. It seemed to help working Eu Saturday night. I worked a lot of 5
pointers, but missed a few, like HI3. Of course, CA sections were scarce
again. Missed six sections, SB, LAX, and SDG for stateside. Missed AK, PAC,
and NWT also. Never heard any of them. I expected to at least work a PAC
station. Didn't hear any on. It was nice to have some of the rare ones call
me, like PR, MB, SK, MT, etc. If the score holds up, it will be a new New
England Division record for LP. The static crashes both nights really made
things difficult. I had to ask for many more fills on stations that were
strong enough to copy, but got wiped out by a loud crash. Thanks for all the
Qs and see you in two weeks in the Stew.
