Comments:
Following prostate surgery and associated loss of bladder control, finally
pulled a stunt that many have talked about for years - stuck a big orange Home
Depot pail under the desk and made full use of it! Otherwise I would have
lost
at least five minutes out of every hour - and my run freq when I had one.
Changed my strategy this year by spending more time on 80M than ever before,
and by spending more time in S&P (gave the F1 key frequent breaks). It
apparently paid off since I made 56 more Q's than in last year's SS. Power
line noise thankfully was not an issue! At least until the noise started
building late Sunday afternoon and into the evening... I'm not an Elecraft
worshiper, but I do love my K3! The new P3 panadaptor was great in determining
when a band change to 15M might pay off. Started the SS on 15M and had NT, AK,
and PAC (KH2/N2NL) in the log in the first hour. The last mult to hit the log
was SK. VE5ZX called me for the sweep and later I found Sam, VE5SF. I put in
the full 24 hours and paid for it dearly Monday morning with a horrible
headache and complete loss of bladder control. Sure will be glad when this
tired 70 year old body gets back to some semblance of normal.
