Comments:
Welcome to the new operators, we greatly appreciate
your activity! New to me on RTTY were: N3ND, K6LRN,
K7MKL, K0WIU, K5AJK, W4JLS. I was also glad to see
some folks get on later in the Sprint: W0BH, K9NW,
N6XI.
This was to be yet-another-QRP-Record, but low
activity had other plans... Luckily, I had spent
many hours getting a new computer installed and
cables made so I could operate two-radio, and all
the extra CQing and tuning helped passed the time.
20m was good for the first half-hour, but I stayed
for an hour, and the last half was spent listening
to us same old guys CQing...
I hated to go to 40m with still an hour before sunset,
but the rate was pretty good because everyone was new
to me. The second hour on 40m was s-l-o-w, with lots
of CQs and tuning, But I expected 80m QRP would be
worse...
80m wasn't quite as bad as I feared, with 20 QSOs in
45 minutes. But I won't tell you about the many un-
answered calls and unanswered CQs. This is usual for
80m QRP - but it isn't confidence inspiring.
I was glad to finally cross 100 QSOs, and I could
see the Mult count was doing fine. I don't know why
activity was so low: Makrothen? New DXCC countries
in PJ-land?
