Comments:
Serious contesters would get a kick out of watching my relaxed operating style
in this event. I usually only put in a couple of hours, or stay on until I
break 100 QSOs. Since there were several football games of interest on this
weekend, and other activities, I figured I would do good to get in an hour or
two.
As a compromise, I spent most of my on time watching a TV in the shack while
tuning around with my left hand. The TV is actually about 45 deg to the rear,
so I sat sideways to the rig so that I could watch and S&P at the same time.
During commercials I might occasionally try running for a while.
As usual, the most fun was chasing the Rovers on 40m. I picked up 8,000 bonus
points by working the following great ops:
AD4EB 15 COUNTIES
K5NA 14
N5NA 11
N9JF 11
K5UN 10
W5TM 10
W0BH 9
N5DO 9
N5RZ 7
W5GAI/R 3
Thanks guys, and also to the TQP organizers.
