Comments:
Tonight is not going to do it. Got off to a poor start, complicated by a strange
problem copying CW and typing. Other than that, it was fine. I butchered K0EJ's
call on my computer and spent one whole minute trying to type it in. Totally
weird. Lidded NN7SS's call too. Ditto K6SRX. Just a bad night. Finally got
going but it was too little and too late. I did notice several people duping
me, three in total, and had to send the "QSO before" message.
My five minute segments were 9, 7, 8, 10, 9, and 10. It's really unusual to go
better toward the end than in the beginning on 20 from here. Eighty meters was
very good, but twenty meters was disappointing. People seemed to exit the band
after ten or fifteen minutes completely, even the two radio operators.
Thanks to K0EJ and N4OGW for three banders. I never made it to 160.
Thanks to N9NB for VA (on 80 of all bands!) and to NO5W for my only rare
Tejas.
Several new stations, at least for me: N9HDE, K1IMI, and NA8V. Welcome, and
please come back.
It's still a blast, even when things are tough.
73, Jim N3BB
