Very slow going most of the time. Saturday night was fun being in the middle of
a high-latitude east-west opening, coast-to-coast. Found myself thinking about
another beam to point in the opposite direction!
Fortunately, the big storm system 150 miles south didn't mess things up too
badly. Heard lots of QRN in that direction after the E-W path closed and a N-S
path made a final, brief opening for the night.
Biggest thrill was working my first 6 m. DX: VP50V, just after noon on Sunday.
Found him calling CQ on .099 with no takers.
Setup: FT2000 - 100w, 4el. yagi @ 95', single quad loop @ 25'
Thanks for the Q's! 73 - Paul, K0PK
