Comments:
Good to see the bands back, somewhat anyway. It was odd to hear anything from
the black hole of the midwest on 10M and I did finally get to hear some JA's on
15 for the first time in YEARS! Had to work this weekend and the baby got sick
Thursday so I couldn't put in as much time as I wanted but any time is better
than no time.
I put up my inverted L which actually turned into an inverted U because the
yard is too small where I put it. It seemed to work better; I actually made
some contacts on 160. Gotta work on the 80M antenna, no room for a 4 square (no
money for one either) so I may experiement with another L or wire vertical
there. Since the past two years have been bad with 2 MAJOR ice storms, the
trees are not in the best shape and we are still cleaning up from the one last
February. No place really to hang a wire where there isn't one already.
I enjoyed what I did work in the contest and even some of my students from
school are looking forward to hearing the news from the contest.
Thanks to all who heard my little signal through the big boys. By the way,
there is nothing in the world like hour #47 spent on 20M. It seems like the end
of a party because it seems like everybody is there! Its a great time to get
some multipliers.
S&P only this contest, it seems more adventurous.
73,
Craig KD9MS
