Comments:
I used the 50-ft end-fed Tree Wire exclusively this week. It seems to be better
on both 40 and 20 than the trap vertical these days. But I still think the
vertical will be better into Europe come fall, and that's what counts.
Qs and score down from my two best efforts a month ago, and 20 Meters is
entirely to blame. One PNW guy CQed right back at me four times on 20.
Ran QSK all the way through this week and it seemed like every time I called
someone there wasn't just one other station calling, there was a pile-up. I am
starting to think that there may actually be more pileups with no dupes
allowed, since the big guns have to look around more. My two best weeks were
Ladder weeks, dupes allowed. Hmmmmm ... Maybe there were more stations on for
those weeks.
I called CQ on all three bands and got one reply to all of them.
Best DX: VA7ST and W7WHY on 40.
Working pal K0IO on both 20 and 40 was very cool, and two mults to boot.
