Comments:
Well, that was a LOT of fun after Friday evening. The thunderstorms here were
very noisy and I couldn't hear at all well Friday evening. I started out
Saturday morning well off the pace and spent the rest of the day catching up.
I vowed this year that I WOULD take the last hour of the contest off and get
rid of my QTC's. I never let more than about 40 QTC's build up and got rid
of them as fast as I could. That seemed to work well for me. I should
probably have stayed on a bit later Saturday night and I took my 45 minutes
off too early on Sunday - the rate was down to 12, but of course 15 opened
while I was off... :-)
40 was GREAT before sunset on Saturday and Ken's station played very well on
20. 15 was marginal here, but I worked the multipliers I could find. Most of
my moves to 15 didn't work.
I heard ONE whisper of a signal on ten Sunday afternoon. That's it. I saw the
packet spots but couldn't hear anything. Oh, well, next year! :-)
Ken's 80-meter four-square worked well and I really enjoyed 80 Saturday
evening.
