Comments:
Every Q was a new multiplier except for the dupes with K0UK and K3LR/5.
After sinking to a personal worst score of just over 300 last week, the rebound
to 960 was thrilling. In part the higher score may have arisen from a hastily
executed re-orientation of the 40/80m Zepp, which EZ-NEC calculations had shown
to be at least 9 dB deficient in the optimal NSL direction. So it was
satisfying to have stations actually answering cals again on 40 meters.
Got a couple question marks from midwest and east coast stns on 80, but that's
about all. As someone noted, we get hosed in CA on 80. Perhaps the
beleaguered CA governator would entertain a motion to reapportion CA into 8
separate states.
Had to drop a 40m Q with the K1TN superstation for lack of a confirmation, but
the Q was probably made, potentially yielding a 1000+ score. Likewise it was
tempting to answer the calls on 80 just after the final bell.
