Comments:
I received my K3 back from Elecraft repair this week. I hooked it up and
configured it shortly before tonight's NA practice sprint -- first time
checking out the K3 since getting it back from repair. So far, it worked OK.
(I used the IC-746PRO again last night. The K3 was gone for a few weeks.)
Twenty was best. Forty was fair. Forty through 160 were very noisy. I wasted
the last three minutes on 160 with only one QSO (W9RE). I called CQ and tuned
on 160 and only heard W9RE. I did not bother with the receive antennas. I
went back to 80 during the last minute and no QSO there either. I sure hope
conditions are better tomorrow, but thunderstorms are predicted. My NA op time
may be shortened due to weather.
Thanks for the Qs and Ms. Good luck to everyone in the NAQP tomorrow.
73, Gary
